This November, yield to temptation and celebrate all things dark and decadent at Penny Dreadful: A Night Carnival of Victorian Horror! 

Thanksgiving weekend, keep the spooky season spirit alive with a feast of flesh, fantasy, and fortune. Bringing some of Portland’s best in aerial circus, burlesque, dance, and live music for an evening of costumes, cocktails, and performances to sate your immortal longings! 

This costume party and variety show invites you to indulge in your darkest desires as vampires, werewolves, and tragic villains mingle in a four-hour seance bringing back the Victorian gothic era. Inspired by Gothic horror books, movies, and television, Penny Dreadful is a night for every Poe, Stoker, and Shelly fan alike.

Come dressed as your favorite gothic horror character or writer and enjoy sensuously indulgent cocktails from The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven mixologists Myrrh Larsen and Megan Skye Hale, haunting wares from our featured local vendor, and get a glimpse of your fate from the cards at our tarot table.

N95 or equivalent masks highly encouraged for all guests when indoors. Guests incorporating an N95 or equivalent mask into their costume will receive a special thank you gift!

Multiple times a year, The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven produces the Night Carnival, a themed costume party featuring cocktails, costumes, and live acts from Portland’s thriving alternative performance community. As always, 100% of net ticket sales go directly to performers!
