Nest's debut, second album “Pretense” and third full length “Tipping Point” were written, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Jarvis' home studio in Belleville, Illinois.
"I'm no Steve Vai, so I kept the writing simple, with the hopes of people head-banging without trying to figure out what time signature it is." Jarvis says. “I’ve taken my favorite parts of my favorite bands, and tried to mash them into something new and refreshing”
WITHIN THE PYRE
Within The Pyre are a 5-piece American Progressive Heavy Metal band from the greater Portland, Oregon area. The current lineup was founded in 2019 by a group of motivated musicians who met through the local metal community and shared the same goal of making heavy music. Their unique sound fuses hard-hitting grooves and catchy lyrical delivery with high energy and witty stage banter that sparks a perfect impression on the average metalhead.
The band has performed in numerous shows across the Pacific Northwest and had the pleasure of opening for bands such as Soulfly, Unearth, Darkest Hour, Fit For An Autopsy, Otep, Prong, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, Motograter, and The Agony Scene.
