Their newest record will be self-titled, as the band has depicted themselves in a new shape and form not only in their writing and recording process but how the band runs and operates. Secrets pushed their boundaries recording their new record, exploring different avenues of sounds, tones and writing styles. While they stay true to their melodic energetic past, they press forward with a bigger and more mature sound. Secrets signed to Made in the Shade records in January of 2017 and quickly got to work on pre-production at Catacomb Recordings in Los Angeles, California. The band co-wrote with a few reputable song writers such as Mike Green (All Time Low, 5SOS, Pierce the Veil, Paramore) and Brandon Paddock (Papa Roach, Avril Lavigne, The Used, Panic! at the Disco). Their first single 'Incredible' off of their new record was released September 1, 2017.
The Dead Rabbitts are a metalcore super group from Phoenix, AZ. The band is comprised of Craig Mabbitt (Escape the Fate), Alex Torres (Eyes Set to Kill, Greeley Estates, Alesana), Agustus Cryns, TJ Bell (Escape the Fate, Motionless in White), and Chris Julian. The music is largely reminiscent of Mabbitt’s previous groups Blessthefall and The Word Alive.
The Dead Rabbitts teamed up with To Write Love on Her Arms and PledgeMusic to release their first EP Edge of Reality. Through PledgeMusic, fans were able to pre-order the EP along with extra items such as signed CD's, posters, concert tickets, and more. The eight songs (and one bonus track) were produced by Caleb Shomo (formerly of Attack Attack! and current vocalist of Beartooth) at Studio Records in Columbus, OH. The record shows a huge amount of creativity and is filled with Mabbitt’s meaningful and well thought out lyrics.
After the release, The Dead Rabbitts set off on The Pizza Party Tour with Get Scared, Rob the Cartel, and As Thick As Thieves. Coming off of an impressive year, the group caught interest of Tragic Hero Records who signed the band and will release their first full-length album. The record will be produced by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, Motionless in White)in Ocala, Florida.
Now touring his third album Time and its sister EP Live Sesh & Xtra Songs- Cole's sound is a seemingly simple and totally addictive mix of electro-funk missiles shot clearly on refrains and steamy nostalgic strolls. Signed to Flying Lotus' label Brainfeeder, 2020 anticipates yet another debut paired with his searing videos.
With a mission "to create deep feelings through music" his comedic YouTube videos aren't far from the real thing. Viral video favourites like F It Up mirror his live big band show experience, featuring LA's best instrumentalists seen creating hot funk whilst crammed into his modest living room. Now his largest shows to date, Louis Cole's Big Band follows in similar fashion: weird, wild and wonderful. This will be a night to remember.
Phutureprimitive is the moniker of Bay Area producer and songwriter Rain. Early childhood photos reveal Rain sitting at the piano plinking keys, grinning from ear to ear... a true sign of things to come. Continuing his early fascination with music, Rain was later drawn to electronic music, inspired by its ability to combine the best of organically played instruments and the synthetic pleasures of sounds more exotic to the human ear. After beginning a DJ career in the 90s, Rain began incorporating the music he was making in his home studio into his DJ sets. That was all it took to trigger a full blown love affair with electronic music and the process of its creation... and Phutureprimitive was born.
Despite electronic music's tendency to suffer a short shelf life, Phutureprimitive has already demonstrated a timeless quality with his debut album "Sub Conscious" on Waveform Records, which remains the top seller on the label since its release in 2004, obtaining a cult status among fans and collectors. With a string of singles released in the interim on various labels, the birth of Native Harmonix (Rain's own Record Label) brought us the "Luminous" EP in 2010; delving into a lyrical based production, supported by undulating synth work and a palpable haunting texture throughout. His second full-length release "Kinetik" forged new territories of emotional electronic dance music, exploring a heavier, bass-centric sound that adds raw energy to intricately detailed tracks. "Kinetik" still remains on the iTunes Top 100 Electronic Music Chart, 3 years after its release.
With a new collection of songs released in 2 parts titled "Searching for Beauty in the Darkest Places," he takes ideas from his previous releases and supercharges them with hard-hitting dancefloor appeal, while maintaining the depth and prowess this trusted producer is so well known for. His first national headlining tour in Fall 2013 debuted with multi-media production team Vinton Depiction & Michael Miller, the animation/visual effects creator behind NBC's "Grimm." The Dance Out Your Demons Tour featured an interactive game with the audience, where the audience members write down a "demon," fear, or something they are letting go of on a piece of duct tape, stick it to the bottom of their shoe, then "dance out their demons." Due to the smashing success of DOYD, Phutureprimitive announced that they will continue to incorporate it on future tours.
DUB, INC Originally from Saint-Etienne in France's industrial heartland, Dub Inc fuse classic roots reggae with dub, dancehall, ska, hip-hop and African influences. They create an intoxicating musical hybrid with highly charged and socially conscious songs which have earned them cult status in their native France.
Their wild, high-octane live performances led to an ever expanding and loyal fan base. With a fierce independent spirit and away from the media spotlight, Dub Inc have become the most successful reggae band playing in Europe today, and are now a fixture at major festivals across the world, having already appeared at Paleo, Francofolies, WOMAD and headlined Rototom Sunsplash or Summerjam.
Charismatic lead singers Hakim "Bouchkour" Meridja and Aurelien "Komlan" Zohou sing in English, French and Kabyle (a Berber language native to Algeria). Backed by deep rolling bass (Moritz Von Korff), keyboards (Frédéric Peyron and Idir Derdiche), guitar (Jérémie Grégeois) and drums (Grégory "Zigo" Mavridorakis), Bouchkour and Komlan convey strong positive messages through their striking vocals creating music with a truly universal appeal.
Since forming in 1998, Dub Inc have produced seven studio albums, two EP's and two live albums. Their new album Millions (2019, Diversité) perfectly embodies the potent combination of infectious energy, distinctive melody and engaged, combative lyrics.
The original 10-track album, released by the legendary Creation Records, featuring classic tracks such as Hope, Man To Child & Love In A Car, was quickly hailed as one of the definitive independent releases of the late 1980's and today the songs and sound still resonate with long time and a new generation of fans.
The House Of Love formed in 1986 in Camberwell, South London and released their first single, Shine On, on Creation Records in May 1987. Two further singles, Real Animal and Christine, appeared before they released the debut album in June 1988 to ecstatic reviews.
One undeniable charm was the contrast between the overloaded layering of guitars and the 'gravelly voice of calm' (to quote Len Brown in the NME) that lay at the centre. 'The guitar sound is spring, the melody and lyrics autumn,' agreed Simon Reynolds of Melody Maker, referring to 'Christine' but making a comment that applied equally to the whole of the record. It stood out, not least according to Danny Kelly of The NME, because it was birthed in an era of 'instant-impact, minimal-retention pop'. For Simon Reynolds, the arrival of The House Of Love represented 'the sun gone in to supernova' and fellow journalist Jonh Wilde viewed the band in a similarly cosmic fashion - the album was' unnervingly big and entirely everything'. Playing live, critics agreed too that the band were dynamite. Both Guy Chadwick and Terry Bickers were first and foremost guitarists, creating a texture onto which Guy Chadwick's poetic songs were laid. Guy had a vision of the sound and Terry went a long way to helping him realise it. ' John Peel seeing them in Leeds in 1988 said in The Observer, 'The House Of Love showed within seconds that they have that inner tension that makes for a great rather than a merely good band. This was one of those performances that I wished I could have taken away with me.' They went on to sign with Fontana Records with Creation impresario Alan McGee still managing them but guitarist Terry Bickers would leave in 1989, following a monumental fallout, to be replaced by Simon Walker, before they released their second self-titled (although often called 'the Butterfly' album) in January 1990 featuring songs such as the hypnotic 'The Beatles and The Stones', 'I don't Know Why I Love You' and a re-recorded anthemic 'Shine On' immediately went Gold, with 'Shine On' hitting the charts across Europe.
Two further albums would be released on Fontana, Babe Rainbow (1992) and Audience With The Mind (1993) before they disbanded in late 1993 disillusioned with the record company. Guy made a solo record, the quiet classic, Lazy Soft and Slow on Setanta Records, before Terry re-joined the band along with new bass player Matt Jury. They made a return in 2005 with a new album, Days Run Away which was followed in 2013 by She Paints Words In Red on Cherry Red.
Currently working on new material, a new album is expected in the near future!
